Flexguard Repair

It looks like a large plastic motorcycle chain. No other motorhome that I hgv ad needed it obviously but mine broke on my 2018 Georgetown. It encases the wires for the slideout.
Has any one else had trouble with theirs and is there a DIY repair for it?
Thanks ,
Max

Cable Carriers

I am not familiar with your setup but it sounds like flexible cable carriers. I have purchased these from McMaster-Carr for projects in the past. They are available in many sizes and types. With accurate identification, I have been able to snap out only the damaged sections and replace them with new.

Good Luck!

Thanks for that link. That does look like my plastic chain that broke.
I don't understand why FR needs this troublesome chain to carry the wires.
This is my 3rd motorhome with a slide and neither my Thor or Gulf Stream had these exposed wires.

Brand New GT5 - Slide Electrical Plastic "Chain" Separated - Forest River Forums

If so, you'll see many people had and still have problems with it bunching up. We've taken to one person watching it while another runs the slides. It's definitely worse in cold weather.

One person's dealer tried a bungeee cord underneath to put some tension on it while the slide is extending but it was not 100% effective.
