Question Forest River Coachmen? Upholstery Issues

So, I am not sure how to ask or if I have even titled my thread properly. We are searching out our first ever RV. Looking primarily at gently used bunkhouse models, needing sleep areas for a minimum of 7 adults. At any rate, that has brought us to Coachmen as being one of our choices. We are looking at years 2011-2015. From what I have read, it seems that Coachmen are Forest River products under those years.
So... what is up with the peeling upholstery? Was there an actual recall for this? For those of you affected, how have you had it fixed and was it at your expense?
We are looking seriously at 3 different units. 2 have had complete replacement of upholstery and flooring. However, the other... closest to us, not any changes. Also the most $$ of the lot. I have negotiated a deal but they are not willing to take care of “everything”. (Some other issues other than upholstery such as missing equipment and other minor cosmetic issues).
We will most likely pass on it and take the trip if we choose either of the other two however, I am curious as to what or how everyone has handled this issue.

I have seen pictures of this issue on RV sites. Don't know what to tell you but if the unit is affected, it is very obvious. My 2012 Coachmen RD385DS Class A does not have this problem on any of the surfaces.

We had ours for more than a year with no problems. I had that problem with my past FW from Forest River. They did nothing to fix it.

We've had our 2011 Sportscoach bunkhouse unit for two years, and haven't suffered the issue. Minor wear indicates our upholstery is all original. I've seen pictures of units with the issue, I forget what brand but not a Coachmen. Makes me wonder if some kind of inappropriate cleaner was used????

My 2014 with Thomas Payne furniture has the peeling issue on both the sofa and the loveseat. I will resolve it by replacing with standard furniture instead of RV specific stuff.

Upholstery Issue

We have 2013 Coachmen Encounter. A couple of years ago all of our upholstery began to peel and show large cracks. It was definitely the quality of materials and not our use and care. We saw other owners on various forums with the same situation. They had success in contacting Forest River and the the furniture manufacturers agreed to send our replacement covers for no charge. They did the same for us as the original owners. We put the covers over the captains chairs and some of the other cushions, but some covers were slightly different than our original ones. We need to replace some of the foam to make them fit properly. We have been very happy with the covers they have sent us so far.
