Forest River FR3 slide out mechanism

I really like and am considering the FR3 30DS. It will be our first RV, If you don't count a 1963 VW camper.
Any way, I was looking at the slide out mechanism. It is a cable and pulley mechanism. It looks like it might be a nightmare to install and align, and given the manufacturing issues I read about on this and other forums, I am more than a little concerned.

Any one have any experience with the FR3 slide outs?

Sorry I am being so vague about the mechanism but the manufactures name escapes me at the moment

Cable operated slide systems have been out for years. There is nothing inherently wrong with them over their more common counterparts. They do require a bit more "maintenance" by checking/tightening loose adjusting hardware (which is the largest single problem with all-cable operated units), perhaps a bit more lubrication, but nothing earth shattering that should prevent you from buying the coach that fits you. Now, if you were considering a unit with the Schwintek geared-track slide system, I could offer you some negative advice :-) Just my $0.02 cents worth.

I believe the cable system is made by Accuslide.
