Jensen AWM970 stereo

I have the Jensen AWM970 stereo in our camper. I have a problem. Well, not really a problem but rather a nuisance. The dang thing turns on by itself. Turn it off and 10/15 min. later it comes on. I've checked the alarm mode and it is off. Can't figure what the problem is. Has anyone had this issue?

Spoke with a factory Jensen rep. He said to reset it. I did. Now it only comes on by itself every couple days. I've disconnected the battery for a few days. After 4 days thought all was great. Went outside the day and the dang thing was back on. Guess I'll take it to the dealer and have them check it out, unless someone else has any ideas.

Wow....sounds like you did what I would have done. Ensured the alerts are off and then ultimately reset.

Keep us up to date on your results - thanks.

Haven't had a chance to take it back the dealer yet. But, on a good note, it only seems to come on every three or fours days now. Besides taking it to the dealer, does anyone have any other suggestions?

I think that model has an alarm clock feature. Look in the instructions and see the info about settings. It may be set for wake up alarms.

The alarms are turned off. (I think) I may have missed something, so I better check again. Thanks.

I'm starting too. This one must jump from Jensen to Jensen.

UPDATE: The dang thing still kept turning on by itself. It got to the point were when we put in a DVD, it would kick over to USB, by itself. Finally got it to the dealer. They replaced it. YEA.....

We had a similar issue with the radio in our TT. Come to find out it was the NOAA weather function that would turn the radio on but not off.
