Lexington 283GTS Sofa?

Hi all. After your help with my Half Time oven question I'm looking for info again.Hubby and I have a new-to-us Lexington 283GTS and now that the snow is finally gone we're getting it ready to roll. Under the sofa we have found two upholstered bumpers (maybe) matching the sofa. The are about 3.5 or 4 feet long each with a steel "tooth" attached. They appear to be something for the sofa bed but we can't see any places for the "teeth" to fit. Any hints? Thanks!

If your sofa is like mine those are used to make up the sofa bed. Each arm of the sofa should lift off. With the arms removed the sofa should be able to be laid flat by pulling the bottom up & forward. During the process remove the cushions. With the sofa down those cushions go where the arms were. Reverse to make back to a sofa.
