New owners

So excited. We purchased our first rv last night after searching for over a year. It is a Rockwood Signature Ultralight 8311ss. Any tips appreciated.

The link does not work. One of the main issues I see with the lite series trailers is LEAKS. Be sure and inspect the roof and window sealants on a regular basis to keep leaks at bay. Non-repaired leaks equal rot and a ruined trailer.

Let the adventures begin!!

A general tip - I keep a notebook/journal just for our trips. I record the fuel purchases, mileage - that type of info. But also phone #s for warranty. Phone #s for any reservations (plus confirmation #s) we have at campgrounds. Then, notes on the particular journey. Where we stayed, people we met, local restaurants. Any meals I made that were standout & we might want again. Any other info that strikes me.

Enjoy your new home on wheels! Here's to many nights away! Safe travels.

Since this is your first, be mindful of the turning radius of the trailer. It will encroach on right turns, and you will scrape the tires on the curb, eventually ruining them,... Always give yourself a "wide turn". Watch the mirrors. It is so different then driving the car/truck. " Don't ask me how I know". [that will become a familiar saying].
