At supper tonight, my cousin suggested I join this Forum...so here I/we are!!

On a dozen or so Forums every night...and learn something new every day.

Thx everybody for sharing your vast knowledge. Here is one for you:

We own an '06 Daydreamer (Forest River). The 12-volt demand is so high, FR installed two 55-amp converters...but failed to plug the main one in 6 years ago. My dealer, I am sure, never pulled the inspection panel off on the PDI.

Any way, on my third furnace motor due to low voltage...cuz the converter that suppies the 12-volt panel never worked. Plugged it in and WOW...my furnace works the best it ever has. The best part....The tech at FR agreed to pay me for my last two motors. You can't beat that))

Not easy to R&R the furnace, but I am pretty good at it now AND I keep a back-up motor on hand. Johnny

Way to go Johnny, I fixed my daytime running lights from always on high beam to always on low, as it should be. Finally got power to my cigar lighter and 12 volt outlet. (loose wire) Freed up a very stiff copilot's chair, and stopped the infernal squeaking of the bed. ( not what your thinking lol ) All this and we haven't left the driveway yet. You just have to follow your nose and figure things out.

Welcome to the forum guys!

I swear, I think figuring out how things work and fixing them when they don't is a big reason we buy these beasts!

I am moving this thread from iRV2 Issues forum into the "new members intro" forum.

Glad you both found us.

Rick

Thanks Ricko. It is getting very cold out here in Thunder Bay, so I am posting lots so you will give me a campfire to keep us warm.

Well, you're on your way to your first campfire already but you'd better hurry. I'm in Arizona. Yesterday was our first day under 100f in quite a stretch. Today it dropped into the 70's with some welcome rain. Supposed to get back in the 90s by end of the week. I'm still adjusting to becoming a desert rat.

Frank, username = thunder, "lightning" goes with thunder, therefore a play on words that seems to work for me.
I'm usually a nit picker too, can I be in your club?
