Power cord rewind reels

I don't want to fuss with the long 50 amp power cord. I have been looking for a rewind reel.

I like the Glendinning Cablemaster CRR-50 but the $500 + price tag is a bit high after all I have already spent on our new Encounter.

GLENDINNING PRODUCTS - RV Cablemaster - Model CRR-50

I would be okay with a manual rewind reel but have not seen anything in that area I thought was worth my time and money.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I either saw on this forum or another where folks were using regular metal water hose reels from the hardware store that cost $10.00 or so. Screwed them into the wall or door and put their cords on those.

Hmmm thanks. They have a manual with right or left side crank for $300. Still a lot of money but only half the cost of the Glendinning product. Wish they would price the reel without the cord, (which I have of course). That would save me another $50 to $100 bucks.

TDI Products Hand Crank 50 Amp Power Cord Reel - 34' Cord

That would do it for me and will get strong consideration.

I found a TDI 50 amp motorized reel on eBay for $250.00. I saw one listed for about that same price and thought about it for a day or so when I went to buy it, it had been sold. I watched eBay and craigs list for many months waiting for another. When one became available I jumped on it. It was brand new but had been dropped and the aluminum reels had slight damage. Took about 10 minutes to fix and several hours to install. One of the best things I have done to the RV. I love this reel.

I wish I could find one that is spring loaded and didn't come with the cable. Something like one of those spring loaded dog leash, of course large enough to handle the power cord.
