Refrigerator
Is it OK to turn on the refrigerator just before leaving so that the refrigerator will be cold when you get to the RV Park? It usually tales about 4 to 5 hours to cool down if you wait until to get to the RV Park before turning it on to coll down. Runs off of electricity.
THANKS!

I start my fridge at least 24 hrs. before I start to load it and travel with it running on propane ( except for fuel stops), 5 RVs and never had an issue doing this.
Cooling items to be loaded, if possible, in the RV fridge will aid it's operation.
EDIT: Sorry just re-read your post, is your fridge electric only ? 2 way ( propane/110v) or an older 3 way ( propane/ 110v/12v)? Running off an invertor?

I leave my refrigerator on all the time except when I defrost and then for just long enough to clean. I am a spur of the moment person and want everything ready to go at anytime.

If , I'm understanding you correctly, you have a residential style 110v only fridge , and your coach is set up so it can run off an invertor while driving.
While the vehicle engine is running the alternator should keep up with the invertor draw and the batteries should not be effected.
If your coach is parked where you have access to power , start the fridge a day or two before you plan to use the RV.

I've always turned mine on the night before we left to go on a trip, using propane. I think it's technically incorrect, but the risk is minimal, and keeping cold food is a must.
