Replacing carpet

How do you get the carpeted aprons off the slide so the carpet underneath can be replaced

It might help to say what kind/brand/model RV you have.

We have a new to us RV and I am in the process of taking out the carpet also, so slightly further along than you perhaps. I have removed part of the carpet from my slide, so wondering what is called the "apron". If this is part I have already done I will be happy to let you know what I did.

I do know that it is not recommended that in some cases you do not remove the part of the carpet under the slide that is covered by the slide after it is extended.
