Sewer Hose Connection on 2002 Coachmen

Trying to help a family member change the sewer hose on a 2002 Coachmen Sport Coach DP. The sewer hose connects to the valve up inside the compartment the normal way, but there is no way to get your hand on the sewer hose fitting to turn/screw it off!
The old hose is weathered and he wants to replace it. Any ideas?
