slide out realignment

Hi and thanks for letting me join your group. We have a 2002 Forest River Georgetown. Our slide has recently started leaking. We took it in to the service center and it was diagnosed as needing a new seal. Took the rv out and the leak has not been fixed. Took it back to the shop, supposedly added to the seal and water tested, no leak they said. Well we took it out again and it is still leaking. Took it back and they have decided now that the slide out needs to be realigned, "out of square" is what we were told. This should have been diagnosed prior to a seal replacement or at least when they saw the seal was not sitting on the slide properly. My husband has looked at the slide and done some measurements and it is about 3/4" to 1" off on the right side as you are facing the slide from the outside. We were told that it would cost quite a bit to realign the slide, much more than we can put in it right now after paying $$$$ for the seal. My husband is quite handy with things like this as he has worked as a mechanic on a paper machine for over 40 years. Attached are pictures of the slide mechanism. If anyone else has had this problem and repaired it themselves or knows how, any help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want him to tackle it without some knowledge. Thanks for much.

Automatic alignment

I had a similar problem on my 2015 Mirada. I found a video - I believe on the Lippert support site {http://www.lci1.com/support-center/} that showed a procedure to automatically realign a slide that is off alignment side to side. As I recall it involves running the slide all the way out and back in about 6 - 8 inches. Hold the extend switch until the motors stop on their own. Do this a couple of times. It worked for me. There is a video and the manuals for various types of slides.
