Solid steps

I have a little issue where I park my camper when not in use with the solid steps not being able to reach the ground. The side my steps come out is about 4" out of level and after leveling it when I flip the steps out the steps extend past the edge of the concrete probably adding another 2" of drop. I have a 6x6 that the legs are resting on but I'm sure others have had similar issues. I am looking for ideas on correcting this, I could not find and I am not sure if they make longer extensions for the legs, would hate to get on a camp site and have to deal with this so I would value any input on solutions. Not getting a clear picture of the problem you are describing. Could you please post a photo.

Im sorry, The guy that poured our 2nd driveway was unable to read a level I guess so it is out of level by 4", and this is where we park the camper. because it is out of level I had to build a little platform for the wheels on the low side to back up on and level the camper out, this just happens to be the side the door is on and the steps come out. The concrete is only 12' wide so when the steps come out the miss the concrete and the ground is probably 2" below the concrete. I will take a pic but my concern is also if we get to a campsite that is unlevel like this I would have to put blocks under the legs. I have 3 steps on the solid steps that came on the camper new but I am thinking maybe I need to switch to 4 steps.

Ok, this is a complete shot in the dark since I'm not familiar with your step design. I worked at Home Depot for many years and became aware that there are devices that can be added to the bottom of extension ladders that can help compensate for uneven or unlevel ground.

Usually only one is needed per ladder, but if it would work in your situation I'd consider having two so you could deal with uneven ground wherever you are.

Just an idea.

If you take a look at the Glow steps, you'll see how they dealt with that issue.......mine don't care what the ground is like, full adjustable....but you might be able to make ground contact legs.....

Here is a picture of what I am talking about. I can build a platform for here but my worry is getting to a camp site and having to deal with it. It may be needless worry but always like to plan ahead.

A single step platform available at most camper accessory sales places (not going to name one over another) some have adjustable legs for uneven ground too. Probably about $75 - $120 range at store or less on line. Get a full size and not a small one (they flip too easy). Doubles as a step to reach things in upper cabinets.
