Well I figured out the root cause of this failure. I went to take pictures of the loop I installed a while back to prevent the siphon effect Forest River products are famous for. I added a T valve to the factory vent hose, then ran a length of hose up, over the nearby LP tank and then pointed back towards the ground.

When I picked it up one of the things they screwed the pooch on was filling my LP tank for me. I offered to pay, they filled it as a courtesy since the repair process was going less than smoothly.

When he carried the tank out I went to put it in, he insisted he do it on grounds of insurance, and I thought I saw him properly place the hose. Nope, pinched between the LP tank and the wall, nearly shut. I should have checked it myself but it didn't cross my mind.

So, now not pinched, it flows fine even with the fill hose at full tilt. It's now not pressurizing the tank at all.

Live and learn I guess.
