Hi,I'm new to this forum and love it.I have a 2006 forest river lexington 255.My bedroom slide has a chatter when sliding in.It has a center shaft type with gear teeth.Can anyone help me fix this?Love you guys . Johnny G

I have the same model and year.
Am having a like problem on my bedroom slide.More of a hang-up,then release of the slide mechanism.
Will be watching this posting to look for possiable fixes.

hey heavy,fixed it.Used protect all on outside of slide from top to bottom ,put white grease sparingly on the top edge of the bed frame where the slide moves on and sprayed same on meckanism inside frame of bed under carpet.That's where the shaft is.Moved the slide in and out a few times.Hope it helps ya. John

Welcome the both of you to irv2. Now that one of you has solved the problem maybe it will help the other. The simplest answer works most of the time with these rolling adobes.

hey heavy,There is an adjustment for the slide.Your slide is rubbing on the bed frame.Look behind the water tank and see a flat metal piece coming up from the floor with one bolt in a slit on each side.Put a small hydrolic jack under it with a piece 0f 2x4 on the jack .Crank on it till it is snug under the top piece(horizontal)to hold up the slide mechanism.Loosen the adjusting bolts untill semi loose .Jack up about 1/16 of an inch .Tighten both bolts so the slide is not on the bed fram and THERE YOU HaVE IT. 304-267-3411 if you need help.
