Super-Sensitive CO Alarm?

The CO alarm will sound sometimes if I'm running the generator, sometimes if I start the MH engine with coach door open, sometimes if my wife uses hairspray in the bathroom. Is this normal, or is it overly sensitive?

I have had mine go off in rest areas with someone's vehicle idling next to mine. They are sensitive, but I would rather have that then the other way.

Unlikely. I carry a Kidde from Walmart with me that has a digital readout. I hate go/no go non-quantitative systems.

When I picked up my Vibe, the person doing the unit check out warned us about that. He even said old dogs and kids can set it off when passing gas!!! He also said hair spray or spray cleaners can set if off. Weird.

Probably early signs it need a to be replaced. We experienced similar symptoms and found replacement was the answer to the problem.

Same here, I replaced the original unit with a new one.
No more false alarms, I purchased a unit with a read out.
