Tire question for Coachmen Leprechaun

I own a 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun 210RS. It came with General Tire Grabbers HTS. I’m concerned because the rear dual tires according to the door panel states that the inflation should be at 80 psi. The tires themselves state the maximum inflation at 80 psi as well. Should I be concerned about this? The front tires are to be inflated to 65 psi according to the door panel.

I run my rears at 80. It is not a problem. The rear has a lot of weight. Weigh your rv fully loaded front and rear axles. Check the tire manufacturers tire inflation tables for your weight. I run my fronts at 75 psi. Of course we have different rv's.

I am concerned about the safety of inflating the tires to the maximum inflation rate. They are rated at Load E but still wonder if this tires are sufficient for this motor home in terms of safety. These are LT tires. Am I overreacting? Thank you.

I think your overreacting. I run my 80 psi max, rear tires at 80 psi.

I've put about 20,000 miles on this set, without a problem. We have been in all kinds of weather from Maine to Florida in every season.

See all the trucks and trailers on the highways, the typically run max sidewall pressure.

Tire question for Coachmen Leprechaun

As with any tire it is worse to run them under inflated for the load.
As others have indicated we cold inflate to 75 front & 80 rear for our Freelander. Our LT tires increase generally 8-12 psi on the highway (depending on the type of tire the increase may be more of less). TPMS systems typically recommend setting alarm at 10% under and 20% over.
Weather will cause changes in psi over night so check psi in morning before leaving. This is another reason having a TPMS helps (you still need a good tire gauge when adding air).

Thank you. We do use a TPMS and it certainly helps in watching the pressure and temps.
