Trip break down

We started on a trip with our new Berkshire and got maybe 10 miles from home when the "stop engine" light came on and at the same time,on the digital dash, flashed "Check Transmission"
Pulled off the freeway and found a safe place to park. Called Coach Net around Noon to have the rig towed to a repair facility.
Tow showed up around 4. Too late to get to the repair shop so its sitting in front of the house.
Waiting on the tow again to get it to a repair place.
Not a happy camper right about now.
Just thought Id share.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Since you said "new", I assume at least you should have a warranty for the problem parts.

Sorry to hear this. On my first big trip out I had a similar which a hose had came loose and I lost power and had to be towed. It was a quick fix. I hope it is a quick fix for you also and you can be on your way.

George, being that the coach only has a tab more than 2900 miles, freightliner should cover it I would imagine.

Update

The shop that the rig was towed to called and said they found the problem was a throttle positioning sensor but couldn't fix it because it was a Freightliner repair.
They called Coachnet and had them tow the rig to another shop that specializes in Freightliner.
Coach-net called me late yewaterday and informed me the rig was atr Freightliner and they would get in it today(Fri)
Hope this is just a fluke.

Typical mentality these days of shops....so LAZY! A tps sensor is usually a couple of screws or bolts and comes right off, 5 minute fix providing it's not hidden under 10 other parts. I went through something like this on my F250 once. I had a warranty repair for a bed plate seal that required the entire cab to come off the truck. One dealership claimed they fixed it, didn't....then told me the third go around that they could not fix the problem. Took it to a second dealership, fixed the first time. I'm guessing the first shop just didn't want to mess with the cab removal, or didn't have a qualified mechanic. Hope everything works out for you.

Finallly

I called the shop to see if there was any update on the coach.
Service writer said she was just handed the paperwork on it and it was ready.
Picked it and it runs great.
Problem according to them was a throttle sensor issue in two places.
Plus they did a couple of factory recall upgrades.
Now we can get the trip replanned and get on the road.
