Water Filter Location - Rockwood 2008 8283SS

I just purchased a used 2008 FR Rockwood 8283SS. According to the manual there's a whole unit water filter system. Anyone know where this is located? I've looked everywhere and can't find it. Thanks.

On entry level units, there is seldom a whole house water filter. It was sspossibly an option.

If there is one, check in the area of the water entry.

it's the signature series which is supposed to have most all of the options. I'll take a look. Thanks.

Most likely you'll find in in an exterior compartment door near the water pump. We're a FR dealer and I see these all the time. I just don't know your exact model.

On my 2006 RockWood RLT 8314SS, the filter is under the entertainment center...which is where the city water connection enters the sidewall. To access it through the lower cabinet door I have to unscrew the single hinge which is in place of a latch. This is because it's not for storage, it's where the filter, water pump & drain valves are located.

I purchased the trailer second hand, the original owners NEVER replaced the filter! I was scratching my head, trying to figure out why I had such horrible water pressure. The filter was nearly black, had green algae growing all over it...DEADLY! I had to disinfect/sanitize the whole system & fresh water holding tank.

I purchased an OEM filter from the WaterPur company. $30.00 Supposed to outlast the cheap imitation filters. Be sure to replace the rubber "O" ring on the canister, as well!
