Question What do you wish you knew about your 2011-2015 Coachmen Mirada before you purchased

Hello, we are looking at purchasing our first ever RV and due to family size we are looking at bunkhouse models. Specifically the Mirada 34BH (although I have seen a 35BH if we could find in our budget range that I would love having both bunkhouse and drop down bunk options). At any rate, can those of you who own or have owned Coachmen’s in the range of years we are looking at chime in, as well as those who have the Mirada or even the Pursuit, and perhaps the bunkhouse give us some specifics that you wish you knew about prior to your purchase? Also what do you really like about your Coachmen and have you owned another type RV before?
Thank you for any help.

If it has a general gen set you are in for issues. Plan on a swap to a onan either before or at the time of failure which won't be far off.

Interior original finish quality is... Iffy at best. Be prepared to put trim back on and resecure cabinet doors and drawers.

Check around all windows in the inside as many were not sealed well at the factory.

I have a 2013 freelander 32bh and... A long list of "never again" discoveries.

We previously had a 2015 Coachmen Mirada 35LS and we loved it!
It was a great coach. Nice big shower in the back, bath and a half, we had it built with no booth dinette and installed our own table and chairs. We also had a small removable table installed in between the captains chairs and added an electrical outlet to the side of the kitchen cabinet.

Has anyone had any dealings with the newer Coachman Mirada (By Forest River)? I heard they have improved quality and craftsmanship.

I assumed the Coachmen years we are looking at are by Forest River also. Is that not so? I read that Forest River took over Coachmen after 2008 models. Have I not found accurate information?
I appreciate the info so far and it is nice to hear that there have been some enjoyable moments for some of you.
