Till it dies most likely not but safe yes. It puts more tq / hp to wheel than our F350 6.2L SD. It has potential for those that tow 11k lbs or less.

Towing a "slave" trailer with a low profile load is a bit different than towing a high profile load like a mid profile 5er or even a travel trailer. Wind drag becomes a BIG factor and really puts additional load on the truck.

They need to get a mid-size 5er and put the truck through the same torture test running a rated load.

Thanks for you input, but truck has HD package and is rated to tow 11,300. 5ver is right at 10k loaded. Oh and truck gets 22-23 mpg empty on hwy. This is some of Fords best technology and it will be in almost all their vehicles before we know it. Might even make it to the RV side.

I was going to say that the truck looked better with the fiver than alot of 250/350's I have seen weaving down the road. I for one will be very interested in reading more, my brand new 5.7 Hemi in a 1/2 ton is literally sucking my wallet dry at the pumps, 10/14 driving like I was on my last tank of fuel-if the dw finds out man am I in for it-what a mistake...

We recently purchased 2012 F150 4x4 EB and are having trouble with LF wheel bleeding rust while driving in rain. Dealer has had it 7 times now with factory engineer looking at it again this Thurs. Never seen a vehicle do this before and other 3 wheels are normal. Have you seen any rusty looking traces on outside rim and tire? Looking for help as Ford is scratching their head. Looks to me like it is coming from spindle area. Maybe they will finally tear into it and try and fix it this time rather than be parts swappers.
Chuck
