***** 5 Star Tuning "GOT A V10 RV?" *****

Hi All
Mike here at 5 Star Tuning. I just want to let everyone know as a new sponsor to the irv2 forums. We will be running a special through out the summer on V10 SCT X3 flash power devices. Just to familarize you with our products and services. We are an custom SCT dealer that specialize in V10 performance be it 2v v10, 3v v10, or custom applications, we are even working on a boosted application for RV's and Superduty trucks. We have custom tuned many RV class A and class C V10's. The device is called an X3 which is nothing more than a hardware device to flash your RV's PCM (aka computer). See here for more RV tune info http://www.5startuning.com/page3/page3.html

The device can hold up to 3 custom tunes on it but for most RV'ers they just want one tune for better performance and some better economy and correct what the factory left behind; these X3 devices with one tune installed on the device are only $379.00 del. to your door step for all irv2 members. The device works by plugging into your OBDii port on your RV and reflash the PCM. All thats required to develop a custom RV tune is to locate your RV's PCM code which is located on your RV's computer.

Once again we are a new Sponsor of irv2 forums and ask only an opportunity to earn your Business!

Please feel free to call us and talk about your specific needs or application. 843-667-3595

Mike, could you post some dyno sheets of before and after gains? I've been pondering getting a tuner for my setup.

Welcome to the forum!!!

See here for more RV tune info http://www.5startuning.com/page3/page3.html

Can't believe I was within 30 miles of your place 10 day ago and did not learn of your company until 500 miles west.

Some questions I have: (2007 Ford F53 chassis, v-10, 3-valve)

1. Does reflashing the engine from the OEM programming negate the warranty?

2. Will the vehicle still pass emissions testing with a modified programming of the PCM?

3. Currently fuel mileage is more of an issue than raw power, tho leaving NC mountains this week has me wondering on which is more important.

Thank you

Hi
1. Honest answer is Warranty is always a concern. Any aftermarket product you put on your RV can void the warranty. However, Most dealerships do not give gas RV / vehicles a hard time with warranty. I always suggest using or finding a mod friendly dealer.

2. No problem on passing emissions we can make emission type calibrations.

3. Fuel mileage is a tough one to nail down. By commanding more torque out of the Drive By wire systems like what is on your RV you can get more torque at less throttle, thus getting some economy.

Call me if you want to talk specifics, I will be glad to help anyway i can

thanks
Mike
