oakcreekeric, you can leave the device plugged in and see real time data from the vehicle it will show you afr, long-term/short-term fuel trims, engine load, rpm, trans temps, etc. Basically everything you would want to know except mpg.

floridaflash, Happy to hear that your device arrived. I hope that they were able to fix your hydraulic leak so you can go out and give your tune a test!

The real test will be in a few weeks when we head to Colorado.
bobf46, Some are easy to get to and some are in unbelievable locations! Look forward to your thoughts post test drive!

I wonder if the motor and tranny will last longer - it seems like they are working a lot less harder now. Any data on that?
danhannah, Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts! Makes for a much more enjoyable drive IMO! They most definitely operate more efficiently over the life of the vehicle saving wear and tear. I wish I have 2 identical rigs that have gone on all of the same trips for a real accurate comparison.

My next question is can you get the extension at any auto parts store?

We have a 2002 Damon Intruder on the Ford F53 chassis with the V10.
Thanks,
Toni and Sally
You can get the extension at just about any auto parts store. The OBDII will be within approximately a foot on either side of the steering column. The ECU will be close to the driver side kick panel or in the driver side of the engine bay depending on the rig.

We see cruise control issues on rare occasions. While it happens infrequently, it is something that we work with given driving style, learning adaptations of the vehicle, alterations in the tune, etc.

bobf46, The 5-4, 5-3 downshift will settle down as you get some miles on it and the adaptive learning takes place. As it settles into your driving style it may be exactly where you want or it may need tweaked. A combination of miles and drive cycles are the major components of the adaptive learning.

Thank you all for your replies. I still haven't found the OBDII port in my 2002 Damon Intruder. I completely removed the dash and found everything but the port.
I called Thor who acquired Damon and they had no idea where it was. One tech even told me that that years Ford chassis didn't come with one. I told him the the Ford F53 chassis have had the ports from the mid 90's on. He didn't inspire much confidence in working with Thor.
Next I called Ford and their response was the the chassis was delivered with the port attached to the frame that holds the steering column. I told her that it wasn't there and described everything there. Her response was that MH mfgs had their ways of relocating things when they got the chassis from Ford. In my case it appears that Damon did an excellent job of that and I commented to her that's why Damon went under.
Tomorrow I will be pulling the fuse panel in the engine bay to see what the plastic box is behind the plate that holds the fuse box attached to the frame.

Thebrightway, it is true the culprit is the MH manufacturer. I think they take delight in masking the location of the OBD port! Mine has a removable cover on it so I didn't recognize it. It's there but finding it is akin to finding the lost treasure of Oak Island! Good luck!

I'm amazed (not doubting) the difficulty some are having finding the OBDII connector. I will let you know this. That is the only way all technicians have to access the data stream for diagnostic issues. They will plug into the port, hook up a scanner and read all they need to read to solve any CODES that crop up. That's the very reason the connectors are all SUPPOSED to all be located very close to the same place on the right side of the steering column about knee high.

Thank you for your response. We are starting a long trip next week and first stop is Colorado. I like a lot of others use cruise control ALL the time but had no problems with that on the test drive.

I believe it only went until May 31 but I'm sure they will respond one way or the other. I bought mine a week or so before the Group Buy and missed out on the deal. Oh! well. I'll live.

Even without a group buy it's well worth it.

5 Star Tuning... Group Buy!

Five star, everything installed exactly as expected. Ten minutes.
Thanks for the help to find the ecm. Never did find it. The obd2 connector was behind the dash on the right facing into the dash about a half inch away. No way to access it. Unscrewed and moved it to a new easy location.
Test drive sometime this week, looking forward to it. Will report
