5 Star Tuning... Group Buy!

Chris,

I installed my tune yesterday. Everything went very easily just as you predicted. I will have to wait until Tuesday to try it out, as our coach is still buried in the indoor storage area.

Just being curious, How many people have taken the plunge with this group buy, so far?

In prior group buy's, I've used coupon codes. Rather than use codes this time around, I have a direct link setup that is different and hidden from the main site. Only those I've emailed/messaged will have the device at the updated group buy price.

Great to hear that everything went smoothly through the install. Hope you have a chance to take it for a spin on Tuesday! Currently have 40 in the group buy with a few hours to go.

When I attempted to install the tune, I got an error message: "Unable to read vehicle data" and that was it. I'll be calling first thing Monday to try and get this fixed.

Have is the voltage on your coach? Often times if voltage dips below 12, it will not read the pcm. Try to connect a trickle charger and repeat the install.

Well that was fast. I ordered it Thursday and Saturday morning the mail man brought the 5 star package to the house. Next week I will try to install it. Instructions paper said when you connect it there are a reg tune on first line and a custom tune on next line. So before I give it a try, which is it, are there 2 to choose from or just only one. Thanks again....

I got the same message. You probably only turned your ignition key to the first position. In the second position - you will see all the dash lights light up. If you turn the key again from this position, the engine will start. (don't start the engine) Once you get the dash lights, installing the tune should work.

I have a 2013 Newmar Bay Star - so the results should be similar.

Battery voltage is 13.6

I got the same message. You probably only turned your ignition key to the first position. In the second position - you will see all the dash lights light up. If you turn the key again from this position, the engine will start. (don't start the engine) Once you get the dash lights, installing the tune should work.

Turned ignition key to last position before engine start - dash lights on.

It worked this morning!!! Loaded the RV 87 octane tune without a hitch. Road test to follow...

Stopped by 5 Star today and had my tune installed since we were leaving Myrtle Beach today. What a great group of people. Very satisfied so far!!! I even installed the sticker which they said would guarantee me 10 extra HP!!!!! .

I didn't get any sticker with my package . I want one..... Today, I took the chance and loaded the 5 Star tune and it went quick maybe 4-5 minutes. It was a lot easier than I thought . I thought the other tunes that came with the device would have been removed and only have the 5 Star custom tune but it was at the bottom of the list. In a couple of days I will check out my new hot wildcat the "Green Cajun Flash" .....
