Those interested in buying a used TUNE need to assure that your CPU code is the same.

Received our new 5Star Tune unbelievably quickly through the iRV2 Group Discount Program. Installed it with no problems. Got to try it out on a short trip and the transmission improvement was really great. Can't wait to have an opportunity to get on I-95 on a real trip and experience all the other improvements.

Regards, Don

Took my 5Star Tune test drive today. Another "WOW" here. Found myself speeding on slower side streets.
I went on a 20 mile test drive that I had driven before the install. On a hilly section of divided highway, the initial trip had 3 or 4 rocket downshifts while on cruise control. After 5star, it it held 62 or 63 mph through that section with no downshifts. Later in the test drive on a long and steep uphill with cruise control, I got a downshift to 4th and then 3rd. Very controlled. It quickly shifted back to 5th at the top of the hill.

This was money well spent. Looking forward to a long trip coming next month.

Regards, Jerry

I completed my test drive last friday, 1800 miles Arizona to Indiana. Best money I ever spent other than a ring for my Wife 48 yrs ago. Thee power increase is way above what I expected and the reduced downshifts are a blessing. Now for the good part. I have made this drive more than 10 times with are present unit a Winne 30t and before that a Itasca 30b both pulling around 5700 lbs. the average
mpg was 6.4 after after 5Star running the mileage was 7.6 for the trip. I looking at Rolex watches with the money I am saving.

stroudwc,

Great report!!!! Lets see next August we celebrate our 47th and we also drive a 2014 Vista 30T with the 5 star. Not looking at Rolex's because at 72 I really don't care what time of day it is. If it's light it's day time and well you know.

You've got to try the RESume button on the CC. On many Fords it act like a CC disengage and engage button. If you want off CC because you want to drive up the hill with the pedal just hit RES. The green light goes off and you pedal up. As you near the crest hit RES and you're back on. It saves those times when shifting will occur but you want to control it. Instead of hitting the brake pedal to disengage hit RES. Works great. I don't even think Ford knows about this.

Yes I use the resume, I found the resume button by accident a couple years ago. When the torque converter unlocks I put my foot on the throttle and when it shifts to 4th gear I click off the cruse and resume when I top the hill. with 5star I did not use 3rd gear very often for the 1800 mile trip. Just ordered Sumo springs, Safe-T-Plus steering and track track bar for my and my friend's Vista. That should keep me busy for a couple hours when the parts arrive.

Email chris@5startuning.com and ask him when they will offer the next one. The pricing for the last one can be seen in post #431. It could be different next time around. Pretty sure we had close to 40 people who got in on it this past time so we all paid the $429.95 with free shipping. We saved over $50.00 each.

Once you get a date pass the word around at different forums within IRV2. We did that last time and as noted we had a lot of buyers.

Good luck and post any response you get from Chris.

Great to hear the install was easy and straightforward for you. We have our RV tunes on there and we have some of the preloaded truck tunes as well. I will get a sticker shipped out to you. Often times the stickers come along with the install at our shop. =)
