So I find this at the top of the page, PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE PURCHASING A TUNE DEVICE OR EMAIL TUNES, YOU MUST FILL OUT THE CALIBRATION REQUEST FORM. YOU WILL FIND THE LINK TO THE FORM IN THE TOP NAVIGATION MENU OF THE SITE. YOU WILL ALSO BE SENT A LINK TO THE FORM ON YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL! . Can you explain? Chuck

Well, the sooner someone answers my question, the sooner I can make the final decision to buy. Chuck

Chuck, I'm sure that 5 Star will respond as soon as they see the message.

DaGrinch,

The device will support the 2016 and newer applications. The tune will just via email rather than preloaded onto the device. Loading the tune is a pretty simple process once connected to a pc.

Hey Chuck,

The cal request form/tuning information is only required if your vehicle has aftermarket intake/headers on it. For the trucks/cars/SUV's we require this form on all of the vehicles as their vehicle tires, gearing, mods, etc showcase much more deviation than the larger applications.

So for my Bounder, I don't need to complete any request form since it is same as it came from the factory? I just need to place the order. Correct? Thanks. Chuck

Hi Chris@5Star - I might be asking a lot, but is there any way I could get the IRV2 discount on the LIVEWIRE TS+ module instead of the X4? Are there any benefits of the Livewire over the X4 aside from just the touch screen and interface? Is it possible to export data to PC/Mac from both devices?

Also, I have one other question. I have a 2016 Fleetwood Bounder 33C, but it's built on the Ford 5-Spd F53 instead of the 6-Spd. I'm not sure if this is still considered the 2015 chassis or not. How do I determine which tune program I need? Will this be determined by my chassis VIN?

Thanks in advance!

Swan-Bull,

According to past experiences if you have a 2016 coach it is on a 2015 chassis. That's not always 100%. Often when some chassis updates are done they just pick a time and do it. So some models have all 2015 stuff and others for the same year have upgrades. By virtue of the fact that you have a 5-speed and not the 6-speed should settle the issue.

5 Star also requires the PCM CODE from your chassis so that should assure that you will get the correct TUNE.

Hey Chuck,

Yes sir, to confirm since the vehicle is stock, all you will need is the tuner. No need for the cal request form.

Swan-Bull,

I'd be happy to extend the offer over to the LiveWire. Give me a call at the shop and I can set you up with the discount on the LiveWire. The primary differences between the devices are the LW has a larger screen 4 inch vs 2.5 inches, comes with a window mount, and does 0-60, 60-0 runs. Information will be needed from the coach prior to tuning with the LiveWire. No information is needed from a stock vehicle on the X4. Both devices are PC compatible. Neither will be compatible on a Mac unless you are running a Windows emulator. With the 5 speed, the 87 RV daily tow is the best route. Any other questions let me know.

Chris
