We appreciate you sharing your feedback on our tuner and the Banks Ram Air Intake Eds!!!

Dgundy, You can unplug the unit and store it in your coach out of sight if you wish. You also have the option under gauges/datalog to use this as a data monitor showcasing more information that what you dash features.

jomo, Thank you for sharing your experiences with our tune/tuner! We greatly appreciate it!

Correct! If you remove (unmarry/return to stock) your programmer from your current coach we will be able to use it on your next. Once unmarried the tuner will un-vinlock itself from your vehicle allowing it to be used on the next Ford platform.

AC Orange, As long as the unit is returned to stock or unmarried from your current coach we will be able to use it on the next Ford chassis. If the coach is a V-10 the transition will be seamless. If the coach has a 6.7L Diesel we will just need some basic information off of the vehicle in order to get the proper tune sent over to you. If you go with the 3.2 Transit we have some options, but most are still in the development phase for many of these newer applications.

Question. I have a bounder 36' 2014. Installed my 5 star last year and drove without a tow vehicle and it felt like it worked much easier inbetween rpm's
On a recent trip I did the first 200 miles without using my "tow" button to help the transmission ( pulling a Toyota Avalon on a dolly) 5 star seemed the same as without towing a car. In the second half of the trip, with " tow" "on" I noticed ( not on cruise) that , even going up slight hills it was jumping to 5000 rpm with it shouldn't have.
The question is, will the 5 star work differently when in tow?
And can I check by rep lugging in? To see if the 5 star is working properly, operational.
Thanks

Thx for the reply. I've contacted your csr service dept via e-mail and they've advised me what data they need : "On your Transit what is your strategy code and swpn? This information can be found under vehicle information on the device."

The new RV has this drivetrain:

Ford Transit Chassis 310-hp, 3.5L, V6 gas engine, 6-speed automatic transmission

You're welcome! They are correct, once we know the strategy code and swpn we will be able to confirm support for your vehicle. We've done a great deal of 3.5 and 3.7L Transits. I do not foresee support being an issue.

When the tuner flashes the vehicle it will flash both regular and tow-haul mode. In order to switch between the two all you have to do is to toggle between modes. There won't be any need to reflash in order to go from one setting to the next. With the unit in hand we would be able to tell if the unit is tuned to your vehicle via it's married status. Standard and tow-haul should both not only differe than factory, but also different from one another. Have you had any drive cycles on the vehicle since this last trip where you were seeing 5k rpms?

Installed 5 star and did a 5000 mile trip and it worked great on my 2006 V10 29' RV.

Did great going up hills without searching for the right gear and we passed a lot of other RV's and Semi's.

6-7 degree hills at 55-60 mph.

[QUOTE=5star;2536420]Voted one of the Best Performance add on’s for Motorhomes by MotorHome Magazine in 2012, 2013 and 2014!

Hello, I purchased this today for my 2017 sunseeker with the 2v v-10 and 6 speed tranny. I also got the k & n cold air intake system to install at the same time.
Can you tell me how much of an increase in hp and torque I can expect from this mod? Thank you.

Hey Charles, on your 2v you will see another 40 rwhp and 50-52 lb ft given the tune and your cai.

I wonder if anyone, err, knows a guy who knows a guy who has put on a 5 Star tune in California has tried doing a smog check with it in place, and if so, did this hypothetical guy pass?

I know a 5 Star tune isn't CARB certified, but the question is whether it will pass just the same or will it be noticed?
