I have this softner and it does an outstanding job. It is simple to hook up and maintain.

You price is excellent. Less than what I paid buying direct a month ago.

I added some well built quick disconnects. Buying three sets allows you to use a short hose with the quick disconnects when recharging.

While I'm here, how do I get new media and how much should go in after spilling some?

YC1 - We have asking the guys at Flow-Pur for media, the Y connection and various other parts but have had a hard time getting things together. The best bet is to call them directly at (330) 547-4423.

WesinRockies - $30.34

I have it too and also used quick disconnects

I did have 1 question - to regenerate it says you need 4 lbs of table salt, leave for 20? minutes and flush.

Is it possible to use less salt and leave it in for longer before flushing? I'm thinking of dropping 1lb of salt in before we travel and then 8 hours later flush having had it agitated by the driving. Any idea how that would work?

Has anyone had problems with the plastic treads leak or breaking?

I have been using this for about a year and have had no issues with leaking or breakage. I also have not had any returns or complaints about such an issue.
