First MH that we've owned that doesn't have a ladder. If it did I could use the magnetic mount and put the ground plane on top of the heat pumps or rear cap. Then just climb the ladder and take the antenna down and store it when we travel.
But any improvement is better than none!
Need to have good cell phone reception while DW is waiting for a liver transplant and our favorite campground is in a roaming area even on Verizon.

Put a chunk of steel on the roof and down the road you will have rust streaks running down the side of your rig.

That's a good reason to put 50 cents worth of paint ( in this case "steel gray" ) on the steel first...

Use of Router with Max Signal Booster?

Would there be a benefit to using a wireless router with the Maximum Signal booster? (Or for any booster, for that matter.)

Could the booster hook up directly to the router?

I would like to use a wireless router to increase the usable range of the booster, including inside the tow vehicle while driving.

thanks

Wireless routers and the Max Amp boosters are two very different animals. The Max Amp will provide "cell" signal to a phone or mifi device giving those devices a signal path to a cellular provider.

Most of those devices can be a "wifi hotspot" which allows other devices to connect to the hotspot via wifi and then provide cellular internet access to the wifi connected devices.

The wifi router could be used to provide an internet connection tow vehicle, but would not enable voice calls over that connection. (Unless you have one of the few phones which provide wifi calling.)

It's possible that if you mounted the indoor antenna very near the front of the coach, you may be able to access the booster "cell zone" from the cab. However, I believe this would be marginal at best.

A better solution would be to install the Max Amp Mobile system instead of the RV system and simply have an extra set of antennas, so that you can have the antennas installed on both the tow vehicle and the coach, and simply move the booster unit back and forth between the tow vehicle and coach.

The difference between the "RV" unit and the "Mobile" unit is the power output and the size of the useable cell signal area in the vehicle. The RV unit will create a cell area enough to operate in a 45' plus RV, where the Mobile unit creates a smaller signal footprint more in the 25' foot range. So in a really big RV, you may not be able to use the phone all the way to the end of the rig when you use the Mobile unit, but the system could be used in both places.
