Got our "Duo" shades during the 30% promotion. Had all the tools ready and removed/installed the new shades, eight of them, in 6 hrs. My wife helped and there was no blood shed and we are still married. That's my story and I will say no more. Blinds look great and the old went back the next day. Thanks MCD!

I'm curious what you do with the old shades that are shipped back to you.

Glad to hear they seem to be going up without many issues. We ordered ours on Monday. They aren't going to be made/sent until early January since we aren't we're where to send them before that.

Really looking forward to losing the pleated shades. I have a few that need restringing at this point. We measured on Friday and then again on Sunday before placing the order

Had ours done last month at the factory. They throw them in the dumpster. We really love our complete house coverage of the new blinds.

We donate all of the good ones to a thrift store that supports our local homeless shelter.

REFUND?

Blinds were returned on 1/2/13 and had a 11/15/12 purchase date with a 12/13/12 +0r- a day receipt date. How long will it take to have my credit card credited for the trade-in blinds? The order number was in two places on the outside of both boxes. I've sent two emails (1 just yesterday) asking this question but I'm afraid they aren't getting through because I haven't received any responses yet.

I thought the blinds had to be received within 30 days of the purchase. Have you tried calling the customer service department?

It is within 30 days of receipt of the blinds, not the purchase. I purchased on 11/15/12 within the program timelines, they shipped on 12/10/12 with my receiving the blinds on the 13th. The old blinds were shipped back in 2 boxes and received by MCD on 1/2/13 so it met the 30 days. I haven't called them yet because for me emailing is easier right now than calling and prior emails relating to my purchasing the blinds received prompt replies. I also assumed the emails would give them a little time to look into it.

Please do call the factory at 800-804-1757 to check on it. We try to get the refunds credited within about a week. We did have some computer problems last week, so if you sent an email then, it may have been lost. I'm at the Tampa Super Show and it is SUPER!

Oh, I better call then. It's been a month since we sent back the old shades and still no refund.
