WOW Mike!

Looking forward to seeing the SCT Tuner at the National Rally this September at the Ocean Lakes Campground. I'm sure you'll tell us all about it during your seminar.

hi
there is a new device for the gm engine base, the nice part about the device is you can set up custom PIDS to monitor on the device, so lets say your RV does not have a an RPM tach you can set a custom PID up with just a PC and the device.

I'm definitely interested in getting it for my 2011 chassis 3v V10 RV. I'll order it online through your website after my next payday.

Question. I'm trying to locate the PCM code on my 2011 3V F53 V10. Where is this located?

I did a 200 mile trip after installing the new 5 Star Tune. Trip was on I-35 from Des Moines, IA to World's of Fun in Kansas City (we're still there). Here are the test conditions: 2011 F53, towing Honda CRV, 30-35 mph wind coming at us at 45* angle, temp 87*, moderately steep hills, full load with 4 people. Cruise on, speed 60 MPH, rpm 2200 on flat ground.

5 Star Tune performed flawlessly. It kept the transmission in 5th gear going up hills until the speed would drop to 57 (about 3/4 of the way up) and then it would downshift and the rpm would be at the sweet spot of 3200 (no screaming 5200 rpm's) until near the top of the hill where it would smoothly shift back to 5th gear and 2200 rpm's again. The highest rpm's hit on the whole trip was 3200. No engine screams-Yeah!

It seemed to have more power and better accelerator pedal response with no hesitation. With cruise control off, a firm push on the accelerator pedal would make it downshift to 3200 rpm's and pick up speed easily. The tune makes a lot better use of the sweet spot of 3200 rpm's. Nice and quiet and smooth.

I am very well pleased with it's performance and will enjoy trying it out on the mountains out west. I wish that I'd had the tune from the beginning when I bought the motorhome new. It would have saved me a lot of frustration over the way the transmission and engine were tuned by Ford.

Count me as a very happy 5 Star Tune user. Disclaimer: I have no connection to 5 Star Tune whatsoever and am not connected to the automotive or RV industry. I am just a retired RV'er who is glad that I finally did the 5 Star Tune and wanted others to know of my experience.

Thanks,
If you've got it already, no you don't need another, as you already have the software. The only thing would be if you would want the new upgraded hardware device. The new hardware device evidently has an improved user interface and additional engine parameters that you can monitor, etc.

So far, the only thing I've used the hardware device for is to load the tune software. I have to study the manual some more to see what all the hardware device does.
