Do you also sell Progressive Industries EMS? I prefer their lifetime warranty and repair over Surge Guard's one year warranty. Any EMS doing it's job will need repair after a serious energy spike, Surge Guard, after a year would be one and done.

I have that one.. Wish I had a Progressive Industries HW-50C but that's the one I have. Will work on making it an "installed" one.

I have a portable 50amp model (EMS-PT50C) that I made "semi-permanent" by cutting the shore cord inside the compartment, attaching the appropriate male and female ends and plugging it in. It stayed in the compartment, and now that I'm trading in the coach tomorrow, I can remove it and put it up for sale since my new coach is a 30 amp coach. I'll be buying a new EMS-PT30C model.

The 50 will work in your new rig with a dogbone. Why not keep it for when you get another 50A rig? Just trying to help.

That is fairly close to what I will do.. I have an Autoformer, For assorted reasons it is an "installed" model. (Out nof sight out of mind, No tempetation to leave it in storage for an overnighter)

Thus I have plug and outlet.. I will change the plug and outlet ends on the Surge Guard so they will reach from where I wish to mount it and plug it in post-auto-former (where it needs to go) but where I can see the display. This all sounds way harder than it is. Many advantages to doing it this way.

You can use the 50 amp model in your 'new' 30 amp RV. It will still perform all the functions and protections a 30 amp model would provide.
