I'm pretty sure that on the rare occasion a sensor loses signal, car or coach, it beeps every time that tire comes up in the rotation. I'm not sure if it's immediately at the time of lost signal or the first rotation. Again, doesn't happen often.
Our CR-V has internal sensors and TST 507s and the repeater. Which is actually located on the rear of the coach (not inside in rear closet or other location). Rarely if ever a problem. And since I dont take the monitor in the toad, when we pull into a site, the monitor goes off. I don't turn it on again until the morning before we travel. If adjustments are needed, I make them, and turn the monitor off. First thing in the morning before travel I turn it on.
As for remembering pressures and temps. Every time I turn it on - there are no temps or pressures until each sensor is found. Since Annie is off in the car I turned the monitor on - all temps and pressures were blank - all coach sensors are now reporting in... And nothing for the car and no noise or beeps. As expected because they are 10 miles away. I'm waiting for her return to see how long it takes for them to report in. It's usually a couple of minutes, which in the digital age does seem slow, but I'm no tech expert. So pretty easy key sequence to clear pressure and temps. Turn it off a while.
I have had a front toad tire blow and the system let me know immediately. This was a puncture so no over pressure or temp warning.

Sorry, but this answer is nonsense. You loose a tire or the valve stem rips off you should get an immediate notification. Period. You shouldn't get a false positive!
Yesterday, with the trailer left at the campsite I drove 22 minutes before I received the first notification that I lost a tire and 31 minutes before all four trailer sensors were notifying.

Rbertalotto,
The system is designed to alert on pressure loss rapid or slow air loss as well temp. When you drive away as you did yesterday the monitor does not receive a signal from the sensor saying there is a pressure loss or temp increase. Therefore it will not alarm. It essentially just vanishes and the monitor receives no data from the sensor. It echo's the last valid signal it has. You are supposed to disengage the tow vehicle by pressing and holding MODE and MINUS BUTTON, this will remove the tow vehicle sensors from the monitor, when you hook back up, simply repeat the same step, and they will re-appear on your monitor. I would love to have the opportunity to speak with you more about this. I am always available on direct number 210-240-0132.
Thanks,
Mike Benson

If a valve stem were to rip off you would get an alarm immediately because the sensor would have no pressure, and the system would alarm right away. If you just drive away, remember the sensors are read and report devices. All they do is send information to the monitor, if they vanish or drive away, they can not send information to the monitor, the monitor echoes the last valid signal it does not alarm because it is not told there is a problem so it echoes the last valid signal it received.

That is exactly how my system works and it makes sense. I had the same experience when I was changing sensors from one coach to another. When I had an actual air loss in a tire due to a loose valve extender installed at the dealership, the system alarmed. When I removed the sensors to change them out or change batteries the system did not immediately alarm. 30K miles and two coaches, I still like the TST.

Ah, now I understand. Only loss of air will trigger an alarm. The loss of an entire wheel will not trigger an alarm.
I guess this is acceptable and it is doing what it is designed to do.
It is like insurance... hope I never need it but it is good to have.
Thanks for the explaination.

It might well let ya know you were about to lose a wheel as the tire temp could conceivably rise above limit and alarm, depending on with the wheel came off. But nothing is likely to alert you to the loss of a wheel, more than the loss of the wheel itself.

If you need a TPMS system to tell you that you've lost a wheel, there are other things you need to solve.

I have had an issue losing the signal to the right rear tire at times. It hit me on trip coming home in April that maybe the monitor was so to the left on the dash it might be better to have it on the middle and that made the difference.

Wow, what a new opportunity----think of what the market would be for a "WLMS"--Wheel Loss Monitor System. It could even be 'beep' coded--1 beep--RR; 2 beeps--LR and so on.
An alarm of this nature would immediately act for the driver to stop, turn around and retrieve the wheel...

I'm still a little upset about the pricing system for replacement parts. I have 1 510 sensor failing completely and a second one that doesn't transmit for 30-60 minutes (that was last season-it might not work at all now). Camping World charges $99.99 for a pack of 2 sensors and $304.99 for a complete system with 6 sensors. That's almost like giving the system away for free and just charging for the sensors. For $5 more I could get 6 new sensors and have a spare for every part in the system. Similar to ink jet printers. Maybe a credit could be given for returning defective sensors after warranty has expired.

How about if your having a problem with one sensor you try reprogramming it? It's not like you don't have to do that to your computer every so often.
