When you said that the G2 is not HD and the Traveler is what would we be missing. What kind of DTV sat box do we need to make the G2 operate? How would I go about getting an additional receiver for the RV?

I have an obsolete D10 and an 18 inch 1LNB antenna mounted on a tripod but it works.

DTV allows me to decommission the D10 so it doesn't cost anything when not in use. Would DTV allow me to decommission the "G2" receiver when you're not on the road?

(In case you ask -- I have a master (DVR) and 1 receivers on SWIM at home however I have an HD non-SWIM receiver in my office. It was running before we got SWIM)

Mike,

Your D10 would work fine with the G2+. Any of the HD receivers up to H24 would work also, you just would not receive any channels in HD. Receivers numbered H-25 and higher would not work with the G2+ without using a SWM-840 conversion kit, as those receivers are compatible with SWM antennas only.

If I read your post correctly, you should be able to use the HD receiver from your office and the D10 together with the G2+

As for suspending the D-10 when you're home, I don't know for sure, you'd have t have that discussion with DTV...
