0-60 in 26.3 seconds

We took OUR new MH to the rest stop to make sure the tanks were emptied and when I started the approach to the freeway, I thought of seeing how long it takes 0-60. I think Gone with the Wynns did that in one of their videos, so I've been curious. It's NOT loaded, YET, getting ready for our first trip to Arizona as we speak. So there was enough room and no traffic behind me so I stopped and had DW hold the stop watch(cell phone ). GO. I was kind of impressed really with this V10 engine. Yes, it's noisy until it changes to the higher gears but tolerable. Anyways, 26.3 seconds. Not bad really. It scooted pretty good. When I load her up I will check it again.
Just thought I would mention this.

Oh no ..... now you've woken all the hot rodders.

I predict we'll see some mid 20's before this fades

What you should have done here with your post is, photo-shopped some frying rear tires to show your point! That would have really got to some folks here.

Here they come John. You was right my friend.
I didn't push it that hard really until she rolled a bit. I do NOT want to break anything. I've been tempted to burn a little rubber with my pickup, but same thing, I don't want to break anything. She's still in good shape.
Ok gang, Light Em Up, lol.

Does this mean we're going to start seeing tires that have worn out rather than age out?

Too bad my insurance has run out for the year, otherwise I'd be out there checking my 0-60. Maybe even do a 1/4 mile run, or would that take up the 0-60!
Happy Glamping.

Interesting. I saw a Newell at a campground we were in and for fun looked at their website. They advertise 0-60 in 28 seconds. I had to try it and with our car on the trailer we did it in a little less than 28. Go figure.

OK.. the Champion

The Champion of the MHRA drags will have to hit the 19's (under 20 seconds)... for 0-60. Cannot even begin to calculate what the 1/4 mile time will be.

Best part for all MHRA fans will be to see the "burn out" in the water box.

Cannot wait to see how all us "old farts" line up to get timed!

You know, there is a test & tune at Irwindale every week.

Start posting your times!

My CTS-V ran at Irwindale in the low 9's and high 8's in the 1/8 mile. It was a hoot. Have to get my Winnie there and get a time ticket!

Newell has more weight and less hp than my rig. I don't have any trouble getting onto the freeway.
