05 Pheaton side furnace panel removal
Hi there,
Unfortunately I side swiped a Ballard and need to replace the hatch door that covers the furnace and holding tanks. I have the replacement and assumed that this panel would come off like to doors on the storage areas. I unbolted the bottom of the hatch so it would swing free thinking I could lift it up and it would disengage from the hinge... it did not! So I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas how to remove the door/panel.
Thanks

You didn't say what year your coach is, but from what I understand about the older Tiffin coaches where that panel lifts up from the bottom you have to lift it all the way up and it will lift out of the half round hinge piece at the top.

He did say the year 2005. There are 2 screws under the furnace cabinet and you will need to unscrew the furnace exhaust vents. You can then start to pull on the cabinet. It's probably going to be a little tough at first, but it will come off. When you reinstall don't forget to recaulk around the exhaust vents.
Good luck

Lt Dan
Thank you for your response.
It’s a 2005 Tiffin Pheaton. I have lifted the door/panel to the horizontal and higher positions to no avail the panel does not want to disengage.
