06 Georgie Boy Landau slideout problem

My slideouts sometimes will not even move or will act real jerky when they are activated.I have to push the manual switch several times before I actually hear the relay open then I push in or out and it will work .My bedroom slide seems to be very jerky and sometimes quits and will start again.I have taken switches out and checked for continuity and they seem to work fine.Anybody have a idea where the relays are as I see nothing on the motors but the brake.

I hope this generates some responses. I have an 05 Landau and both slides act the same way. I fear that this is just the way it is! I have found that if I just hold the switch in it eventually decides to wake up and work.

I have a 2005 Georgie Boy Landau. I had the same problem with my slides. I had to play with them to get the slides out or in. I had to change the switches. After that the slides work fine. I have the 3 slides. There is a hole in the front slide that a long crank fits in and you can put the slide in with it. My owners manual on page 17 tells you how to manually extend or retract all the slides

I had a 2001 Landau. The living room slide worked fine but the bedroom slide did the same thing going out. I checked it really close and found that the top back corner was rubbing against the slide rail. I got a ladder and pulled the rubber back and you could see the two nylon rub rails touching each other. I think the slide was sitting a little crooked in the opening. I never checked into having it fixed because I found out that if I put some steady pressure on the top of the slide when it was going out it worked fine. I have since traded up and other than that everything in the Georgie Boy worked great.

Had the same problem on my 99 discovery, land-up changing the motor at a cost of over 600.00 just for the part and replace the switch, work like a charm now.

Hey Y'all, the answer is right there in the question. Y'all say it starts with the switch, so, pop it out and have a look, might be some corrosion or a loose wire. I own a different brand of MH, but i could see this happening with our rig cause the switches are back near the Shower. Just MOHO here and i would start at the switch and move my way down the wire to the motors and see what if anything i could find. Good Luck and I hope someone else puts in their two cents also!

I pulled switches out and checked them and the connections all look fine. When I push the manual switch in sometimes it takes a while to hear the relay click then it will move but sometimes will just stop and get real jerky.I have checked the rails and they look fine andlubed them up with some some dry silicone spray.Just don't see any reason for the rooms to act so crazy.

Agree it Sounds like electrical problem, switches or relay.... The manual for the slide rooms is here: http://www.myrvpartsplacestore.com/a...O-12024ins.pdf

My 2000 Landau Dp has large single slide, never a problem. (knocking wood just in case)

Slide out Parts are here: Georgie Boy

Hope this helps...post results...

Are there any relays on this unit or does the brake on the motor actually act as a relay? When I look at the wiring diagram I see no relays at all, does anyone know how these systems really work.

On my 2001 Landau there were switches wired into the ground side of the cargo door lights. When ever there was a door open on the side the slide was on it prevented the slide from working. The switches were mounted in the electrical panel bay just below the 12 volt box. Could be a wire loose there somewhere. I traded the Landau so I can't take picture but maybe if you take one of the electric bay I could pick the switches out of the picture. The are about an inch square and there is one for each slide.

Koda where did you find your switches? I have looked at several different types but haven't found any that look like the ones we have.

06 Georgieboy

I called 1-800-521-8733. This is the phone number for coachmen. They were able to get me the ones I needed.

Also, some slide controllers like my powergear ones will detect an over-current draw and stop for a second then try again... I think I am experiencing that sporadically on one of my slides. Cause is likely motor, but may be alignment. I learned how to manually retract and am not nearly as worried ;-)
