$125k to spend - Country Coach vs Newmar
I am pretty much sold on the CC Intrigue Venture but I am open to change if something safe, with a better ride is out there.
Newmar is sexy but not sure that anything in my price range ($125k) will beat the Country Coach.
Class A
Diesel Pusher
Pre DEF
Dynomax Chassis
36-40' length
6-8 outboard airbags
Independent from axle
Rear tag axle
400+ hp /1200+ fpt
Allison 3k (4k preferred)
3 - 4 slides (two front slides required)
8k Onan
Does anyone have some input?
Or any other brands I should be looking at?

Have you found one that you're looking at? The CC's we looked at with tag axle were closer to 45 ft. Pre DEF would mean at least 10 years old, which would fit that price range. The higher horse diesels went a few more years. We have a 2009 ISM 500, no DEF or filter.

Not comparing one vs the other, but you could probably get into a Mountain Aire 2006 or earlier in that price range. It would meet almost all of your requirements. There was a big jump in price in 2007 MADP because they went to a ISM 450, MH 4000, and K2 chassis and 1st generation Comfort Drive.

Those two Country Coaches sure look nice. Country Coach motor homes have held their value and LOOKS because of the quality paint work they did years ago.

You might look at Bluebird Wanderlodge as well. The '04 to '06 Intrigue is a very good match to your specs. I noted some comments above in Italics.
You Dynomax Chassis is interesting. It is a monocoque, or integrated between the frame and the house. Unusual, as most house units are bolted to a frame.
If you can, go to Junction City and visit Premier, Kenai Coach, and others. There is a big dealer down in Eugene on 99, and another in JC. Probably 200 or more MH to look at and compare in a 20 mile distance. Marathon has a Prevost factory a short distance away, and has used units for sale.
Henderson's Line Up in Grants Pass can work on and solve any handling issues, which will likely include motion control valves on the air ride to tighten steering and reduce side sway, and possibly shocks. They will weigh each wheel and give you recommended air pressure based on load and actual tire size and brand, which will impact ride and handling. Have the ride height checked to original spec before you do anything.
One thing to focus on is the living space. We are chair people, swivel rockers preferred, and couches are not comfortable. So the big issue is comfort when parked, as well as a comfortable and relaxed drive.

I agree, a used Country Coach will give you a lot of coach for your money.
Be careful with two things:
Handling (some of these coaches have handling issues).
Pricing (some of these dealer are setting prices that are double the bluebook values).
You should also look at used Newmar Dutch Stars, Mountain Aires, and even Essex coaches. But I agree most are priced higher.
You should also look at Travel Supreme Select, Monaco Dynasty and Executive, Holiday Rambler Imperial and Navigator, American Eagle, Beaver Patriot, and Foretravel coaches.
In the previous list the Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Beaver, and Foretravel are all built on there own proprietary monocoque chassis.
You will learn from every coach you look at.

Given the age and price range you are shopping in I also would open up the list to a handful of other potential brands, Foretravel has already been mentioned, but I would also add Safari, Beaver, even some of the upper end Monaco products. There are arguments for each, depending on what exactly you need, and want.

Country Coach!!! Keep looking Burner you'll find one that you're looking for. If you think Keni's price is too high have a vehicle inspection done. I'm sure you can find someone in the area. Take his results to him and renegotiate. Also do a careful walk thru of both coaches and see the difference. My advice on going to rv.org still stands. It will be the best money you spend on your coach.
Good Luck and happy hunting.

I went to the link you sent me to and only saw packages to purchase that were for 2007 an newer rigs. I was looking at the 2003-4 model CC and didn't see an option for earlier models..
Did I miss something?

Burner,
People poured a lot of good info to you, but we all know sometimes that might confuse you more...
Let me try to help you shrink the scope -
If you think Semi-monocogue and IFS are important to you, basically you only have 3 chassis to choose from -
Newell (Newell)
DynoMax (Country Coach 2000 and onward; 98-99 do not have IFS.)
TravelRide (Foretravel)
All others are box on frame, with or without IFS. (I could be wrong here, someone corrects me if any.)
The rest is your homework on floor plans and years, eventually per your budget to make a decision.

This is a DynoMax chassis frame. One piece, all welded.
