12V lights over Driver and Passenger not working

I have a 2000 Dutch Star that has a light over the Drivers seat above the window and over the passenger seat above the door. They both have a twist switch to turn them on or off but neither one of them are working. Does anybody know if there is a 12v wall switch or something that works with these lights like the other 12v lights throughout this coach?

Thanks,
John

Turn the headlight switch just like turning on a dome light like you used to do in your cars and then try the switches on the lights. That's the way they worked in our '00 and '02 DSDP's

Welcome to iRV2.

My map lights , require that the headlight switch , twist control , click past max dash lights, be on before they have power to the switch at the lights.

EDIT: My slow typing shows up again .

Well you caught Mr_D and I at a good time . Before we fall to sleep in front of the TV. Timing is everything.

BTW: The headlight and ignition switches in your coach are from a mid 70's Chevy P/U ; available everywhere ; in case you ever need one.

John, it didn't make a difference for this question , but when asking about some items , it would be important to include your coaches chassis manufacturer, as Dutch Stars were built on both, Spartan and Freightliner chassis.

Not really in my case as I'm on the west coast and work till midnight. Have permission to use the Internet while "on the job" here are work. Swing shift security for a retirement center and most people are in bed by 9:00 or so!! Gets real quiet here after that.

I've accumulated a bunch of info on both Freightliner and Cat , over the past 6 years of ownership of my DSDP. Any thing you need , you can send me a personal message ( by clicking my user name in the corner of this post ) and selecting the personal message option.

You can also set up a signature line , by clicking " Quick Links " in the dark blue bar under your welcome message, then click " Edit Signature" type in your coach info and click " Save " at the bottom of the page, and your info will automatically appear below your posts , as mine does below this one.
