I had a 1999 and loved it. A well made coach.

I looked at one last year, in my view it was ahead of it's time and should be a great coach if it was well cared for.

We had an 89 Itasca Sunflyer which is basically the same coach as the Winnebago Cheiftan. We bought it new and kept it for 20 years. It was a great coach, well ahead of its time when it came out. Watch for de-lam going on around the fridge & water heater vent covers. Other than that, a good solid coach.

The Winnebago units are general built better than most of the RVs in the same range. One any older RV, close inspection and maintenance of the roof and seals is very important.
