Hi, to all, hope I can get some advice on a few issues
Bought this vintage class A and have not had a real outing yet. Had it about
6 months. Drove it home about an 8 hr. drive. Other than being all over the road, pretty good trip. Well until we got 10 miles from home and lost all lights.
Had gotten off the interstate on to side roads I knew. I thank God I was able to get stopped before a major disaster.
Got the F53 chassis, Ford 460 home and started working. The seller had come off the dash circuit board and just run a pull/push light swithch for head lights. I have just run a switch off the battery with fuse for now.
Have replaced all brake pads, one caliper, master cylinder and bled brake lines. Brake pedal was not pulling all the way back up enough to turn brake lights off.
1. Afer all my work, pedal still does not fully return
???? Should this chassis brake have a return spring
???? Everything replaced that needed but did not replace booster
could this be the culprit.
2. Dash control board, mirrors, spot/flood light/ head light was not working
properly. I cleaned with alcohol several times and had everything
pretty good. Then not sure if I blew a fuse, I can't find or what, but the
dash panel touch pad does not work.
?????? Any suggestions on where or how to get a picture of the correct
wiring on this two board stacked control system. Really need to get a
look at correct wiring on back of boards. I have complete manuals for
this unit, if anyone needs other info.
3. I also replaced schocks, stabilizer shock, added front air bags and
what a difference in the way it tracks.
Any comments or advice really appreciated. Thanks, Jerry
