1992 affinity 40' pusher

my question is, on the floor on the drivers side there are two push buttons on the floor and i know one is for high beams but the one closes to the side wall is for what?

It could be to activate the exhaust or Jake brake, whichever one you have.

It is probably to disarm the automatic engine shutdown system (which protects engine in case of big problems, i.e. lack of oil pressure) in order to restart the engine to move to the side of the road or a safe nearby place.

Probably a foot switch for the horn.

If Gillig it is EPM

The Gillig chassis if with CAT engine for sure, not sure on the others, will have an engine protection module that will sound an alarm if high temp, low water or maybe some other issues, you have about 15 to 30 seconds before the fule is shut off.

The foot switch stops the delay timer.

More data can be received from Gillig, they can provide prints and manuals after you give them your VIN.

The module may be under the dash, if you unplug it the engine will not start, wil crank but not fire...do not ask how I know this...
