1992 model for $95k. ?

https://odessa.craigslist.org/rvs/d/...830503432.html

“This 1992 Prevost Marithon motor coach is in great condition with 130000 miles and comes with a matching 20' tilt bed trailer with air conditioning and carpet.”

Is $95k a realistic price for this unit? Or wishful thinking by the seller?

I’m sure that custom built trailer did not come cheap!

Nice classic rig but still not worth $95,000. The coach and trailer are dated amenity wise. $ 50,000 tops for both together.

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
Guess if you like the sound of a 8V92 screaming and buy into the Prevost mystic but no one has snapped it up in 4 months.

I'm way to old for a restoration project and from the pic's, there is a lot to be done not to mention the important parts, engine, tranny, etc. It will sell though. The old saying, a lid for every pot, will come into play.

Beautiful coach and trailer, both look well maintained, but due to age (27 yrs) I think it is overpriced, how much I'm not sure.

I know nothing about what it might take to bring a 27-year old luxury coach back into shape and then to maintain it--think 27-year old rubber hoses and parts. I do suspect parts availability of any kind could be an issue--think 27-year old computer. Only 130k miles on this old a rig, means it sat a lot--not good for diesel. Then there is the issue of no slides, outdated interior, RV fridge?, and the possibility that the potty is in the middle of the master bath, as it often is in many older rigs?....Life is too short, for me anyway, to take this one on!!!!
Interesting--this rig is parked about 15 miles from my house. I travel that route often but have never noticed it??????

It depends on what you want and what else you could get for $95K. Maintenance won’t be inexpensive and cosmetic upgrades will cost as well. If you’re completely tapped out at that price it may not be an ideal choice.

At the same time, if there are recent upgrades, TV’s, inverter, battery, tires, etc, there is value in that. Not everyone wants the latest, greatest electronic and technical gadgets. Marathon has always built the highest quality coaches. If that’s what you want, make an offer.

Thanks for all your input but this one doesn’t have my name on it.

I was kicking the tires and thought I’d get everyone’s take on it. Yes I agree with all the statements made so my thinking must be pretty mainstream ( at least around here)

I have seen 1990's Prevost busses trade for $150k... 99% condition based as discussed previously. The 8v92 detroit is a beautiful piece of equipment. I would buy it for $50k.. as would 4,800 other guys

After doing searches on rvtrader.com I definitely would not want to spend those kind of $ on the rig. A Prevost is a great rig but in that era it’s still more of a modified bus than a RV.
