Hello and We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I am sure you will enjoy our website and forums. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.

How well a unit has been maintained is the key. Make sure the tires are not more than 5 years old. Ask if everything is functioning. Is this a private sale?

Hi DjDave and Welcome to the Forum!

The Coachmen motorhomes of that era were generally good units. Not the best or most luxurious but fine overall. However, since it is 21 years old, all bets are off. How the unit was maintained over the years is the only thing that matters. As Mike said, maintenance is the key. If it wasn't maintained and has suffered leaks and repairs neglected then it will be a nightmare, especially if you are unable to handle your own repairs. BTW, I imagine it has a rubber roof like mine.

Best of Luck!

What is the deal with rubber roofs? Do you put some sort of treatment at a regular Intervals, is it replaceable?
