1998 Safari Sahara 35' - potential purchase

I have a line on a 1998 Safari Sahara 35' Diesel Pusher with a CAT Diesel and Onan Genset. I am dealing directly with a bank that received the unit as a REPO. The unit has 31500 miles. I have inspected most all of the unit but do not have any experience using the levelers. The unit does have all of the manuals but it was a bit unclear on how to use these. There are 4 switches Left, Front, Right (On - Off - All) with extend and retract. I can manually make the individual levelers extend and retract. However, when extending I get a red warning light and audible beep until I retract the leveler. Can someone assist in how I should be using the leveler system?

I think the alarms will go off when you are level and the ignition is off.

Sounds like mine. Red light comes on when you activate the system and you have to extend the jacks manually. The beep is to alert you to the fact the jacks are down. The On/Off/All switch will extract all three jacks in the all position. When all the jacks are up the beeping should stop. That's how mine work.

Same as the others have stated, mine peeps and flashes when the jacks are down and key is on, turn off the key and your good. It is to keep from driving off with the jacks down.

We have an HWH system, if you extend the jacks with the ignition ON you will get the alarm and red light, if I turn the ignition to ACC then no alarm.
