1998 Sea Breeze 1310 - Generac Generator Question

We are currently renovating a 1998 Sea Breeze 1310 Limited. (Here is a video tour if anyone is interested.)

Question about the generator: it's a 5.5K Generac with 725 hours on it and I'm wondering if this sounds about right in terms of usage, how much longer it might run, if we should consider a rebuild or replacement, etc.

Any input is appreciated.

Low usage for that age. Might give out tomorrow or run for another 5,000 hours. No real way to tell. Tune it up and run it.

If the generator runs smoothly and produces 120v power, I'd leave it alone. That's not too many hours for a 20 yr old RV generator, evidently, the RV wasn't used that often for dry camping.

You could do a compression test to see if the engine is worn or have an oil analysis done, but if it's behaving, do regular maintenance and enjoy it!

Thanks to both of you. It's good to know that 725 isn't a lot of hours - this is our first RV with a generator, so this is completely new to us. Good info from both.

BTW - we do have a manual for the Generac if any other folks out there are renovating a Sea Breeze and need one.
