1998 Tiffin Allegro Bay 32'

I'm new to the Motorhome scene so don't flame me for asking stupid questions. I just bought a 1998 Allegro and there are no manuals. If anyone can tell me how to get the 7kw generator to work without the ignition being on I'd appreciate it. It starts right up fine and runs good as long as the ignition is on. Seems like it should work with out the ignition being on.

Thanks Tommy

Try the Tiffin owners forum on this site. They may be able to help.

I have a couple of quick questions because i am not familiar with your motor home or generator but troubleshooting is troubleshooting no matter what the unit.

1. Is the generator gas
2. With the ignition on when you start it does it shut off when you turn the igntion off or will it just not start with the ignition off
3. When you shut the igntion off if the generator dies does it die just like you had turned it off or does it run for a few seconds after you turn the ignition off.

I finally figured it out. Gemini5362, yes it is gas, yes it turns off immediately when I turn the ignition off. But there is a button I can push and hold while I turn the ignition off and it will keep the generator running.

Thanks a bunch guys. I going to head over to the tiffin forum now.

Hi, just read your message and we also own a 98 Tiffan Allegro. it's been in storage for a few years. Do you have any idea where the ALL the fuses may be located and have you had problems with the dash air conditioner???? Do you have a service manual or know where we can obtain one. we haven't even hit the road yet and it's not looking good. DJay Hofer

I do not have any manuals but I hear you can call Tiffin and they can give you copies of what you need.
