Well I've looked and looked kicked tires been under and on top of several units and think I have found a motorhome that we like a 1999 40' Country Coach Intrigue Gourmet on the Road 37000 miles with all the add ons even hydroheat new tires service records with dealer ship and mechanic that works on the rig at Lazy Days, have the service records from Cummings and Country Coach on repairs. This coach is going to cost me 125K which is close to the price of a new Newmar Kountry Star. How about some feer back on this coach and price.
Thanks Jim

Jim,

The country Coach is a very well made coach. I would not think that you could compare a Newmar Kountry Star to it, new or not.

As far as the price of the Country Coach, it seems reasonable to me, but I would check it on the NADA website with the options that you know about and see what it comes up to.

The kicker for me would be that they have ALL the service records for the CC. I would look them over and see what needed and was done to the coach, paying special attention to the mileage listed on them.

If it was me, I would go for the CC if everything looks okay to you. Sounds like you have found a great coach that will last you many, many miles and memories.

Let us know what you decide,
Ron

You might also check with CarFax to make sure their records match your service records. http://www.carfax.com/ there's a charge but it might be worth it.

The CC 99 has good bones. The miles are good and the price is fair. The more I look at these things the more convinced I am that you find a good mechanic first then get the coach he likes to work on!

wa0mqe suggested getting a carfax report on the motorcoach history. Carfax does not do Motorhomes, just cars and light trucks. I know because I just signed up to order a report for a MH I'm looking at and all I got was that it is a Freightliner chassis. Then I read their Q&A - no MH.
