1999 SAFARI 425 CONTINENTAL dash gauges

I've found and put a deposit on what is mostly a very nice motorhome. The dealer is working away at a deficiency list one item of which I am having second thoughts on. The gauges at the dash are not working properly. There is no speedo, odometer, temp gauge reads 280F with red warning light, trans temp is reading zero. I am now having second thoughts about their ability to repair this as I've read postings about the whole dash gauge assembly going sour on some vehicles and requiring a whole new assembly. As this vehicle is an orphan and no longer in production- I wonder if it can be repaired. Any thoughts, I have not been able to find any wiring diagrams on the net to determine if the gauges are all run by ECM or if they are simply electric.

Who is the chassis manufacturer; there is a good possibility the gauge package is from them and not Safari. If so they may be able to help with the problem.

It is their own chassis Magnum C, that is why I say it is an orphan as Safari has been gobbled by 3 different owner groups since manufacture. Each group doesn't really see a need to support what PO have done.

I have one also but mine is a 96 model and it had basic gauges which can be bought at any parts store. A good mechanic good with electronics should be able to fix. sounds like a grounding issue to me with that many gauges out. Dont give up on the safari these were good built homes, we love ours.
