19I3 Coachman Santara 350 FL RD / Intermittent starting headache
I get in my 93 Coachman Santara rear diesel, I try to start it and it does not start. battery disconnects on, key is on emergency/ relay is in gauged, ignition relay under dash, but no clicking of the starter solenoid. I change the batteries it starts and then it doesn't. I find the starting solenoid, repaired some coroded wires try and start it, it starts and then it doesn't. I begin tracing from Key 2 starting to solenoid. Seems like wires are labeled with numbers. At the key, SW start relay 135 receives a signal every time key is turned. I find wire conn box in the back on the right hand side other radiator. Wiggle it, try to start, it starts and then it doesn't, I go back wiggle wires some more, try to start it itstarts and then it doesn't. wire at the back is SW start really 136 other side a connection box SW start relay cannot see the number. I wiggled the wires again, again and again now it wont even start. The wire on the solenoid is SW start relay 138. Every time I find something , I think I fixed it but I don't. I need a real wiring schematic for this couch so that I can see all connection points and interrupting features which would keep it from starting. I keep thinking I'm going to find more bad connections further signifying a potential voltage drop out. But then I think that can't be the problem because when I turn the key and it doesn't start, the meter does not even register anything. I can take a hot lead to the starter solenoid S terminal and everytime I touch it it works. Should I just run a wire from 135 directly to the solenoid that would make it easy? Although I'd rather fix it correctly to ensure interrupting features work. Could one of these interrupter features be my problem. please can anyone tell me where I can find the real wiring schematic, DC chassis and coach for this Motorhome or just be my boss and tell me what I should do. I can not find where 135 conn to 136 or137 to 138. and remember all solenoid and relays engage and even the ACC under the dash clicks when I try to start.
Thank you, Rob
